La Traviata

A private and customizable tour of Rome (we do not combine groups). Your driver will meet you at 8PM at your hotel, private apartment, B&B, train station. You will have two hours, moving quickly through the narrow alleys of the old city, to see the most important historical and artistic sites of Rome. Your driver will give you useful information and will take you close to the monuments you want to visit. You can get out of the car to take some pictures or simply to admire the wonders of Rome before proceeding to your next destination. At 10PM your driver will take you back to your hotel.

Meet your guide near the beautiful Tiber River, then travel back in time as you see the picturesque streets of Trastevere. Head to the medieval Basilica of Saint Crisogono, which boasts an impressive interior. Next, go underground and find yourself in 4th-century Rome. Soak up the unique atmosphere of this underground basilica, admiring its ancient frescoes and mysterious crypts. Head to the Church of Santa Cecilia next, and marvel at its 3rd-century underground mosaic flooring. Learn about the legendary Santa Cecilia, and her macabre death. Head to the Cavallini Room next, and marvel at the Last Judgement masterpiece (morning tours only). Finally, stroll around the cobbled streets of Trastevere and Step into its distinctive and lively spirit. End your tour in the heart of the neighborhood in front of the mosaics of Santa Maria in Trastevere, then see the neighborhood and its famous tavernas on your own.

Start the tour in the city center and admire the imposing Vittoriano, a monument that celebrates the unification of Italy. From there, your guide will take you to Largo di Torre Argentina, a famous site known for the assassination of Julius Caesar. The Imperial Forums were part of the complex of the Roman Forum, separated from it in modern times in the moment of the urban reorganization of the area.
