What To Expect
The Eternal City is famous for its art, wine and history, which is exactly why “Rome's Original Paint and Sip” combines all 3 in one unforgettable experience.
Starting off the tour in the Baroque Piazza Farnese, you will be escorted on a journey back through time to the late Renaissance period. The historical Campo di Fiori, and breathtaking Piazza Navona are along this path. Your passionate tour guide will recount historical tales of the nepharious Bernini and Boromini, and will tell you why these areas were key to Rome’s development during the notorious reign of the early Popes. The tour will end as you head back in time to the mesmeric Basilica Sant’ Andrea della Valle, surrounded by original frescos, in one of Romes most fascinating and important churches.
As you enter the art studio located in a 17th century building, just a stone's throw away from The Basillica of Sant Andrea, you'll be made welcome with a glass of wine, finger food and a chance to mingle and socialize with other artists, before heading for your canvas. Traditional Italian cuisine will be on the menu, and handpicked wine sourced from all over the country, as you spend the next two hours creating your masterpiece with the help of local, talented art instructors. They will provide you with every tool you need with little instructions, to homegrown tricks, in order to bring out your inner ‘Piccasso’, as well as teach you about the history of the food, wine and city you are experiencing. No experience in history, art or painting is necessary.
