The highlight of any tour of the Vatican is, of course, the famous Sistine Chapel, the most visited attraction in all of Italy. You’ll learn more about Michelangelo’s frescoes - The Last Judgment, the Creation of Adam and the Genesis - as well as some specifics of the Stories of Moses and Jesus painted by Botticelli, Perugino and other famous Renaissance masters. The Sistine Chapel is still used today, most notably for Conclave – the secretive papal election. You’ll hear some anecdotes and little-known secrets about this amazing place.
The tour ends with a visit to the most significant Catholic Church in the world - Saint Peter’s Basilica.
