When Michelangelo was painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, Raphael was close by painting the apartment of the Pope Julius §II, today we call the Raphael Rooms. Among them there are the beautiful Parnassus with Homer, Apollo and the Muses and the School of Athens facing the Dispute over the Sacraments. Those rooms were one of the last works done by Raphael before he died.
