Itinerary
Stop At:
Piazza della Rotonda
We start with a traditional Italian espresso in a historical cafe with coffee grinding on the premises only a few metres from the iconic Pantheon.
Campo de' Fiori is the site of one of the most ancient markets of the city. In the morning we will make sure to visit some of the traditional fresh produce stalls and sample some pizza al taglio and bread products at the bakeries opening on the squares.
We will explore locally run food avenues in the area of the ancient Field of Mars, looking to taste gelato, different types of patisserie, bread, pizza and cheese.
A food tour in the historic centre cannot miss the Roman-Jewish cuisine. We will make a stop at the Jewish Ghetto to fully appreciate this century long culinary tradition. Depending on the day of the week, and in accordance with Jewish celebrations, we may end our tour here, at a local trattoria sharing appetizers accompanied by a glass of wine.
