Choose from a 7:30am, 11am, 2pm, or 7pm tour when you book. Then, make your own way to the local supplier’s office on Via Vespasiano in advance of your start time. With your private guide, you’ll stroll to the Vatican Museums and enter using your fast-access ticket.

All tours visit the famous museum complex and the Sistine Chapel, home to Michelangelo’s Renaissance masterpieces: The Last Judgement and The Creation of Adam. Read on to understand the different options.

7:30am Early Access Tour:

Skip the crowds that are already starting to form, and enter the Vatican Museums before the standard opening time. You’ll start your tour in the Sistine Chapel, then return back to the museums before the daytime visitors arrive. Highlights include Raphael’s Rooms and the Cabinet of the Masks, a room normally off-limits to the public, that boasts an elaborate floor mosaic of masks. Pass through a little-known entranceway to St. Peter’s Basilica for your final tour.

11am or 2pm Tour:

Start with a visit to the Vatican Museums to see its antiquities and artwork with your guide. Check out the intriguing paintings of Raphael’s Rooms, then step inside the Sistine Chapel. Finish with a tour of St. Peter’s Basilica.

7pm Evening Tour:

Visit the Vatican Museums after the doors have shut, and explore its main halls without the crowds. After visiting Raphael’s Rooms and the exclusive Cabinet of the Masks, you’ll access the sacred Sistine Chapel. Your tour then finishes outside St. Peter’s Basilica as the church is closed in the evenings.

Please note: On rare occasions when St. Peter’s Basilica is closed during the day, you will visit the Vatican Pinacoteca (art gallery) instead.
