Tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, skip the line.

You will meet our accredited guide who will lead you to the Vatican Museums, a collection of works that the various Popes have increasingly enriched during their pontificates, to make it absolutely unique, both in quantity and quality. Once inside, we will visit the Cortile della Pigna; the Gallery of Maps, we will cross the Galleria degli Arazzi, to finally reach one of the largest existing paintings: the Sistine Chapel, commissioned by Pope Sixtus IV in 1475, as a private chapel of the Popes and place of the conclave for the election of the new pontiff. The side walls are the work of the greatest Renaissance artists, Botticelli, Perugino, Ghirlandaio, Rosselli, Signorelli. The vault, with scenes of genesis, is perhaps Michelangelo's most grandiose work, and on the background the Last Judgment. We will visit the Basilica, where there is the majestic Baldacchino by Bernini and obviously the Pietà by Michelangelo, not the funerary monuments of the various Popes whose tombs were built in the Vatican Grottoes, including that of Pope John Paul II. Our visit will end in Piazza San Pietro under the grandiose facade of the Basilica.
