St. Paul's Within the Walls
La Traviata is a three-act opera composed by Giuseppe Verdi on an Italian libretto by Francesco Maria Piave. It was first performed on March 6th, 1853 at La Fenice opera house in Venice. Verdi insisted on finding an original and provocative idea for the audience in Venice, and decided to base his work on La dame aux Camélias (1852), a play adapted from the novel by Alexandre Dumas (fils). The piece was originally titled Violetta, after the protagonist. This famous opera remains among the most performed masterpieces of the entire lyric tradition.  Opera e Lirica soloists, from the most important Italian theaters and Music Academies, will perform this breathtaking story accompanied by choir and orchestra conducted by Maestro Carlo Carbonelli. The audience will enjoy an extraordinary and memorable experience, surrounded by the fascinating atmosphere of St. Paul within the Walls Church. The story will also be enriched by Opera e Lirica lovely dancers who will perform romantic choreography.  Enjoy the most romantic opera ever, performed by Opera e Lirica artists in the wonderful St Paul's within the Walls Church in Rome.
