What To Expect
Either meet your guide at your Rome hotel (if transfer option selected) or make your own way to Ostia (a short train ride from Rome) in time for your departure time. Starting from the Ostia Antica ticket office, set out on a guided walking tour of the ancient port.
Learn about life in ancient Roman times as you pass through the monumental Porta Romana gate and stroll down the central boulevard of Decumanus Maximus. Stop to explore the remains of the Terme di Nettuno amphitheater, peek into the thermal baths, and see the Temple of Rome and Augustus, the Square of the Guilds, and the Capitolium.
With a tour commentary specially tailored to engage younger participants, the whole family can get involved, and kids enjoy learning fun trivia, filling in their coloring books, and taking part in interactive activities including quizzes, treasure hunts, and card games. Best of all, priority access to the archeological site means that children won’t get bored waiting in line.
At the end of the tour, either return to the train station or meet your driver for the return journey to Rome.
Please note: Children must be accompanied by their parents at all times.
