We booked The Highlights of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel, Semi Private tour. Laura was our wonderful guide. I hadn’t fully appreciated how advantageous being part of a small group would be. It soon became apparent! Our tour was 2nd October and I was surprised just how many people were in the entrance queues. Laura reassured us about the speed of our entry and she was absolutely right. Us two Brits chatted to the five other ladies in our group from different parts of America as we quickly moved along. Very pleased to have just followed along as Laura led the way through the entry process. Once we were inside we were given an ear piece so Laura could communicate easily and started off with our tour. Laura was a real treasure, drawing us to the side and letting large groups pass, rather than being hemmed in with them. She timed chances for photographs and for us to appreciate what she was telling us about. I had read reviews about people’s disappointment with their large group tours and saying it wasn’t worth going at all. I had imagined our small group would be get caught up with it all but that really wasn’t the case. Laura was a smart operator and skilfully made sure we had our opportunities to see this extraordinary world renowned place and appreciate the history. Making the tour and experience a complete pleasure. Book as early as you are able, I made our arrangements two months in advance but would have had more options with more notice. LivTours small group option really made this a great experience for us. We had a delightful time and have special memories of that day. I really feel it was absolutely because we were part of LivTours small group and their choice of good guides, Laura was great. Thank you so very much!

Our tour guide (Assunta) was extremely knowledgeable & passionate about showing & teaching us about the Vatican museum, Sistine chapel & St. Peter’s basilica. We really enjoyed her tour!
