Understand the Borghese

Tomaso is passionate about the Bernini’s sculptures, and that passion shines through in a way that is infectious. He did an excellent job of capturing the setting, importance, and influence of the Borghese family to help frame the significance and use of the villa. But when it came to describing the details of the Bernini sculptures and some of the paintings, he came alive. It’s easy to go to a gallery like this, look around, and think, “that looks pretty.” But you get so much more from the experience with a knowledgeable guide.
Note: boo on Viator for not updating the time on our tickets when we had to change the booking. It created a lot of confusion for us.
