Our Food Tour in Rome unfolds in the historic Trastevere area and will escort you among the dishes most loved by the Romans, their strong flavours and the famous wines from Lazio. The tourist is guided by a "Foodie", a local "buddy" able to explain every detail of the selected restaurants, their preparations, and the relevant history/curiosities. Do Eat Better Experience tours are a mix of high-quality gastronomy as a way of showing Italian culture and lifestyle and a walking experience together with a local friend. This is the reason why we accept small groups only: we want to focus on a genuine exchange and give to each tourist the highest attention possible. Please, note that the tour is always run in English and Italian; other languages upon request.

A great night in Trastevere with Martina

Martina took us to 6 great locations in Trastevere, each with a speciality and local history. The food was very good and the perfect portion sizes to accommodate so many stops-it doesn’t look like a lot initially, but by the end everyone was very full. I’m vegetarian and there were plenty of good options for me. Martina is very kind and engaging and put in extra work to repeat the English information in Italian for me, so that I could practice, as I’m studying the language and visiting for immersion experience. Unfortunately she had to deal with some (in my opinion) extremely rude and unreasonable clients on our tour, and handled the situation professionally and calmly, without ruining the experience for others, which is a real skill. This tour takes you to excellent but not touristy stops that you might not find otherwise. I highly recommend the Trastevere tour and Martina.

This was my favorite tour so far & Roberta was phenomenal as our tour guide. She knew so much about the city and gave us so much insight as we continue our travels. Her knowledge was very clear and she made a perfect day for us. The food choices were very well thought out with our likes and dislikes kept in mind. She was so friendly, so attentive, and a delight to spend the afternoon with.

Roberta was excellent with her knowledge of local food and choice of restaurants . We enjoyed the food tour thanks to her guidance, she took care of our food preferences between vegetarian and non vegetarian options . All the place's had history with interesting stories making us appreciate this experience! I would recommend this tour for all those foodies looking to get an authentic taste of Rome.
