Simply the best way to go for a tour of Pompeii!
Picked up at our hotel in Naples in a beautiful Mercedes, and taken efficiently to the front gate of Pompeii to be greeted by Italo. Past the cues of tourists, and given a really intelligent and fascinating explanation of the culture, history and architecture of Pompaeii. Italo brought it all to life, as only a local can!
Take a waterbottle, and maybe a few small snacks with you as this is an archaeological site, and has no shops inside the city walls. Also wear footware suitable for several hours on uneven cobblestones.
Pompeii is as wondrous as it appears to be, and Italo's fabulous historical and anecdotal commentary brought everything to life!
on the way back to the hotel our delightful driver took us past several other sights in downtown Naples, and could not have been more friendly and not rushed.
