All thanks to our licensed local guide Sophie, who offered us a customized trip of the Rome Boat Tiber River Hop On Hop Off Cruise. This memorable sojourn includes exclusive food tasting and wine pairing in a 1st-century AD Roman cistern in downtown Trastevere.
We thoroughly enjoyed the local Italian cuisine paired with the selection of premium wines. What’s more! We also took the boat ride to the Tiber Island from Castel Sant Angelo, admiring some heritage monuments en route.
At the Fabullus Winery, we were delighted with the authentic Italian food balanced with seasoned wines.

We took the boat tour of the Tiber and later did the tasting.
If you make this plan, don't have expectations from the boat, you don't really know much and the comments aren't good either. The boat is a good taxi, but nothing more.
However, we rate this experience 5 stars because the wine tasting was magnificent. Ginebra, our host, was very friendly and passionate, she made us feel at home. We tried a wide variety of wines, cheeses, appetizers and jams, exquisitely prepared and selected.
Ginebra made the experience very special, she took her time to explain and let us try each of the things. Thanks Geneva.
