  • A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
  • Occasionally the Basilica may be closed due to last minute private events outside of the tour operators control and often without notice. In these uncommon circumstances the tour will operate as usual and the time spent inside the basilica will be made up elsewhere on the tour. No refunds will be granted in the event the Basilica is closed
  • Please note that tours selected on Wednesday mornings at 10 am can be periodically effected by the closure of St Peter's Basilica due to last minute decisions by the Vatican. Please be insured the lost time will be compensated with other areas of the museums.
  • Each traveler must present a valid passport or photo ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking
  • Not recommended for travelers with mobility issues

Rita was the perfect guide. Very knowledgeable and patient. It was hard to hear at times because the Vatican was extremely busy, but that was not her fault.

Our tour guide, Massimo, was incredible!! I highly recommend a tour with LIV tours. Small group tours are definitely the way to go. Massimo shared a lot of history that we would not have received just walking through the Vatican with a recorded message playing. Skip the line is hands down the way to go. We entered the Vatican after only waiting maybe 15 minutes. You could tell Massimo enjoys his job which made the experience even better.

Our guide, Leonardo, was amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour—the Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. (He is an archeologist and teaches at a local university.) We learned fascinating and valid information about everything we toured. The Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s were beautiful and awe inspiring. Be sure to bring water, eat something before the tour, and wear comfortable shoes. Highly recommend!
