Rome Golf Cart Driving Tour: City Center, Colosseum & Catacombs

Biga tours provided our family with the most magical day-long tour through Rome two weeks ago! We started the morning off by traveling through Rome’s City Center inside of Biga’s brand new golf carts. We were able to visit every “must-see” attraction in Rome within a few hours and were provided with detailed and thoughtful history about each spot from our tour guide, Jason. We were even able to enter the Pantheon, and Jason made sure to take family photos at many of our stops. He also took us to visit a quieter section of the city away from the throngs of tourists where we stopped for gelato. It was the best gelato of our entire trip! All in all, the trip was incredibly thorough and enjoyable, and I don’t know how we would have seen it all without the golf carts! As well, Jason’s partner for the morning tour, Gaia, was incredibly kind and helpful. She even provided a dinner recommendation for us based on the neighborhood we were staying in, and it did not disappoint! It was the best, most authentic Italian food we had throughout our entire stay in Rome! We then stopped for a quick lunch break before hopping on for the second part of the tour where we explored the Catacombs and the Appian Way. We were once again met with plentiful history and a more than enjoyable journey. We were able to hop off the golf carts and take a walking tour through the underground Catacombs which was fascinating. By the end of the day, we had learned so much and seen so many incredible sights! Our family could not have been more grateful for the excursion provided by Biga Tours. We had the best day and would 100% recommend this insightful and carefully planned tour to any family ready to learn more about Rome!

The tour was incredibly professional and yet preserved a very friendly atmosphere. We had fun and moreover, my partner who was in Rome for the 3rd time only, finally received a true set of specific and interesting information about my city! We booked the tour as a "break" from my brother's wedding week and it was a great decision, as we could unwind and relax after a very engaging and exhausting weekend, still experiencing the best of the eternal city. Moreover, his comments are judicious and always interesting, with lots of anecdotes. It’s a great way to discover the Eternal City in a short time and without getting tired. There are lots of little touches: a bottle of water, a gelato and you can get off the cart often to admire or take photos.
