Would have been better off with the free audio tour

Terrible experience - although the description says the tour is 2.5 hours, my tour guide rushed through and finished in under an hour. Her English was very difficult to understand. Very surface level explanation of the art (basically just saying who painted the work and where the artist was from, but not explaining anything about the work itself, its subject matter, its historical relevance … etc.). Do not waste your time or money with this tour.

The private tour with Giuseppe was really great, as we saw the palace itself, painting and sculptures all by renouned artists. Giuseppe was very knowledgable and accomadating, answering all of our questions and allowing us to take our time.

The Galleria Doria Pamphilj is an absolutely fabulous place! The building, the art, the ballroom, the history, everything is so amazing. And I was lucky enough to make the tour alone with Ilaria. She is an exceptional guide: she is very competent, very kind and makes history alive. For to hours I went back in time and got the history behind the art and paintings. I highly recommend this tour
