First stop will be Pompei, the town that was completely buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. After visiting Pompei where you will visit the incredible ruins of the archaeological site so famous all over the world, we will go to Positano, famous all over the world for its elegance and refinement. From Positano we will reach Sorrento driving on the coast, giving you the possibility to enjoy the enchanting view of this lovely part of Italy. During this amazing tour, it is expected a break for the lunch in a typical place overlooking the lovely bay.

Amazing day on Amalfi Coast

We had a wonderful day with Achille! Our first stop was Pompeii where we opted for a private guide and Ciro was a 3rd gen Pompeii guide and gave us an amazing tour. Then we got back in van with Achille and drove south, hitting several lookout points around Sorrento on the way to Positano. He talked about all the local spots and we stopped at one lookout spot and got some delicious lemon slush. After navigating down to Positano, he walked us to a great restaurant he recommended and made sure we got seats with a view. We enjoyed delicious lunch and some shopping. On the way home he went out if his way to find a lemon tree so that I could grab a pic. When we got back to Rome, he again hooked us up with a great restaurant in a unique location and a good spot on the patio. Was a long but wonderful day!

Well what an amazing day we had with Achille touring the Amalfi Coast! His knowledge, his enthusiasm and his spirit was second to none!
Achille knows the region and was full of historical references and entertaining stories. He was also very helpful with advising our next stops in Italy!

Expensive day that turned out disappointing

For the price we paid for this day we were TRULY disappointed-cannot recommend it at all. I actually waited a couple weeks before writing this review to just think it through. But, it was not a good day for us. The only positive thing I can write is that we enjoyed our private tour with 'Chiro' at Pompeii but our driver, Claudio drove so fast and was worried the entire day about traffic. It was the first thing he mentioned when he picked us up at 7:30 a.m. and the entire day was spent speeding!
We were so disappointed in the lack of stops on the Amalfi Coast. We wanted to see it and felt like we were rushed at the 2 stops we made. On the way back to Rome, our driver didn't say one word, instead drove ridiculously fast and the WINDOWS were down the entire time. It was so loud and so windy. We are still sad that our time and money spent this day was so incredibly disappointing.
Sorry for the negative review, but felt it was merited, even after thinking about it for for a couple weeks.

Thanks to Claudio ( our driver) and Ciero ( Pompeii guide) we had a memorable trip to Pompeii, Amalfi coast and Sorento. Claudio was in time at the hotel, was helpful and had a pleasant demeanor through out the journey. He even accommodated our request to stop for breakfast (which was delicious). Helped us in Amalfi coast and Sorento to take great pictures. Most of all he was very knowledgeable and share interesting information through our journey. Ciero our Pompeii guide was everything we needed to make the visit a wholesome experience. He made it a truly immersive experience by ensuring we covered all important parts of the ruins, sharing stories and details and taking some memorable pictures of our family along the way. Thank you Claudio and Ciero!!
Worth every penny to have this private tour if you really care about going deep in History.

Excellent Driver.
Very knowledgeable about the History. Provide a lot of details since we left Rome all the way to Pompei and then to Positano. In Pompei we meet our guide Ciro . He is a third generation of Pompei guides therefore it is like living the true History of Pompei . Super detailed and He knows where to walk you in a big city as it was Pompei. Amazing tour.
