The paintings were carry out in the 17th century to celebrate the glory of the family. The painting collections are very significant especially artworks of Jan Breugel, Tintoretto, Carracci and other very famous artists. Finally we visit the gardens and Pio's apartments .Tickets are not included 25 euro, free for children under 12.

This is a must-see and I am surprised I hadn't heard of it sooner. In fact, I met some Americans who live part-time in Rome and they'd never heard of it either. The collection itself is extraordinary and it's worth the effort of arranging your schedule so that you can visit it when it's open. It's on a par or better than the Borghese (with more paintings and less sculpture). And I must compliment my guide who is expert in knowledge of the collection, history and more! This is personalized and is therefore much better than canned tours where they skip what I might want to know more about - you can stop and ask about anything you want to know about - architecture, decor, paintings, sculpture, the family, the story behind the cannonball, etc. I highly recommend this one.

Pour notre second voyage à Rome, on nous avait recommandé la visite de ce Palais. Fantastique ! Si vous devez aller à Rome, n'hésitez pas une seconde à visiter ce Palais, sans aucun doute le plus beau de Rome avec la Galerie Borghèse. La visite dure 2 heures et on ne voit pas le temps passer tant il y a de très belle choses à voir dans les différentes salles qui se succèdent, sans compter le jardin et pour finir la fameuse Galerie extraordinaire. Un must vraiment, d'autant que le Palais est auto financé, avec des oeuvres en parfait état de restauration. Un grand merci à Sandrine notre guide, simplement parfaite !
