  • In cases of heavy wind or rain, for safety reasons the Colosseum management may close all access to the top levels of the site. In such cases, your tour guide will provide a comprehensive tour of the public areas to ensure you still get the most from your visit.
  • ALL participants are required to bring a valid form of photo ID (i.e. passport, driver’s license, government ID) in order to enter the Colosseum. Please bring an original document – copies or photos are not accepted.

Coliseum is awesome. This tour was way better than the others as going to the top allows you to experience the grandeur and scale of the construction. Out guide was perfect explaining just enough to understand what your seeing. So perfect! Missed the Roman forum as ticket says valid 2 day after first entry but that’s confusing. It’s valid only 24 hours after first entry.

This was an exceptional experience made even better by our fantastic guide Valentina. We had a private tour even though we had booked a small group tour so it was a bonus for us. Small group tours mean you do not need to wear a headset to hear your guide. It was a beautiful day and the Parade to celebrate the establishment of Rome also took place during our tour. The history of the construction of the Colosseum as well as the history of what happened there while the games were in existence was fascinating to hear. And explained so well. There is so much to take in. The tour ticket also included the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum which are also well worth visiting. We enjoyed every minute despite the step climbing and highly recommend this unique tour.

Giulia was an amazing guide! Greeted with a hug for both myself and my hubby, we started off early and at a great pace. Immediately, Giulia began sharing information about the road, the arches, the history before reaching the Coliseum. Once inside, she continued sharing facts and photos, pointing out artifacts and areas of interest. She is adorable and smart! Why hubby is a history buff and loved it all. Highly recommend!

We booked a tour right before our trip to Rome with Liv Tours to go to the Colosseum, we did the glass lift to the top because that was what was available, it was amazing! It was just our family of 4 and Guillem (our tour guide). He was very knowledgable about the history and the best gelato spots! He did a great job of getting us through and away from the crowd. Our tour of the Colosseum (Flavian Amphitheatre) was a highlight to our trip!
