We had a fantastic tour with Massimo. We had two children (11 and 13) and Massimo was kind enough to check a few times that the tour was suitable - not an easy job given how terrible some of the emperors were! We really enjoyed the pace and the stories were so well told. Very engaging. Highly recommend

I was hanging on his every word and had an amazing night with Massimo! The way he dives deep into the stories and doesn't shy away from questions made this a one in a lifetime experience. This is not the traditional stuff you read about in guides or textbooks. It feels as if Massimo was there two thousand years ago and is now retelling what happened. If you have any doubts booking this tour, this is your sign to just do it. I promise you won't regret it!

Massimo was incredible! This was the first tour we did with him, and then we booked 3 more because we enjoyed it so much. He was educational, captivating, funny and kind. He brought the historical characters to life, making them relatable and memorable. I liked that he didn't tell the stories through rose coloured glasses, as often happens in history books. Massimo and his tours were a definite highlight of our time in Rome!

Massimo is an excellent guide and story teller! We have been to Rome several times, but Massimo showed us things we did not know existed. His enthusiasm about Roman history is contagious. This tour is not merely a mundane recitation of names and dates, but the personal and human side of history came to life as Massimo shared stories about these five Roman Emperors. Even though times are difficult for tour guides in Rome right now, we appreciated that Massimo still conducted the tour for just the two of us. Finding the meeting point was easy because he sent directions and a photo of where to meet. Highly recommend this tour when in Rome!
