The Express Access to Sistine Chapel in Rome, in a small group of 6 participants is a perfect 90 minute tour that will allow you to visit the Sistine Chapel and Raphael rooms in the early morning. With your expert local guide, you will have direct access into the Sistine Chapel with no waiting in lines to fully absorb the beauty of Michelangelo's masterpiece prior to large tourist groups arriving! Your guide will then take you to the Raphael rooms for an intimate experience with these fresco masterpieces. Our small group size of maximum 6 people creates a friendly environment where you can interact with your knowledgeable guide, and enjoy the peace of an almost-empty museum. Your guide will then lead you back to the Museums' galleries, where you will be given information on how to enjoy the rest of your time inside the wonderful Vatican Museums.

- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
- A dress code is required in places of worship. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders must be covered by both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress codes
- Please be aware that the Sistine Chapel is a Holy Place and talking inside is strictly forbidden. In the Express Access to the Sistine Chapel Tour the first 30 minutes of the tour are held outside of the Museums in order to give you a comprehensive explanation before entering the chapel.
- Starting in 2024, the Vatican Museums will discontinue early access for ALL tour providers, instead opening to the public at 8AM. This tour will then be offered as a first entrance experience, which we recommend for a less crowded, more personalized, and fully guided experience.
- Vatican management maintains the right to delay the opening of the Sistine Chapel for religious reasons, in this case the guide will modify the itinerary and extend your visit of the museums to ensure you make the most of your time before access to the Sistine Chapel is permitted.

Experience of a lifetime! Elisabetta was patient, knowledgeable, and attentive. Also, the early access gave us the opportunity to experience the Sistine Chapel with no crowds, the ability to sit and lean back, and the opportunity to pray and reflect. This was NOT the case once the early access ended and the crowds descended. Highly recommend this tour and appreciate Elisabetta as our guide!

Elena was great! She kept the attention of our teens and helped them understand the history and importance of the Vatican City, the museums and the unbelievable Sistine chapel. I would highly recommend Elena for your tour. The early morning and skip the line tickets are well worth it. We went last year later in the day and it was so packed you could barely see the museum artifacts. This tour was way easier to navigate and enjoy because there were so many less visitors at that early time.
One note: if you are wanting to get into St. Peter’s Basilica after your tour you will have to go out of the Vatican museums and walk around to the entrance of the Vatican and get in the long line. This tour does not give you access out the back door of the Sistine Chapel to go directly into St. Peter’s basilica.

We had an excellent experience with LIV Tours. Our early entrance allowed us to bypass the long lines and even some other early tour groups. While not alone, we were able to actually see the Vatican Museums at leisure, and most especially the Sistine Chapel virtually uninhibited by the masses of tourists. Our personal guide, Patrizia, was very informative on the Vatican, the Popes and the artwork we would see. She also directed us to places to visit after we passed through the Chapel, and was willing to customize her tour to our needs. Kind of like a knowledgable friend giving the tour. Imagine being able to actually sit and absorb the Chapel without obstruction. That's what we did for a good 45 minutes or more ahead of the crowds. Money well spent in the value of service. This was our first experience with LIV tours, but won't be our last.
