Fabulous day trip to Tivoli

My husband and I had a fabulous day travelling to Tivoli with Simone, and visiting Hadrian's Villa and Vill D'este. It was so convenient having Simone picking us up from our Airbnb, instead of trying to decipher the train system to get there. Simone dropped us off at each amazing site, giving us our own time to wander around and truly appreciate these amazing and beautiful sites. Simone was full of information and was very helpful with other ideas of places for us to visit during our time here in Rome. Simone provided us with a mobile phone when in each site, to assist us in remaining in contact, just in case we used up all our power on our phone taking so many pictures. We had the pleasure of enjoying a lovely lunch at one of the Ristorantes in the Piazza in Tivoli, before visiting Villa D'este. We cannot recommend Simone and Scoot Around Rome highly enough to experience this day trip to Tivoli, the only way to do it we believe. Many, many thanks, Simone.
Definitely book with Simi

Simi is fantastic. Even when we were looking at booking months before our trip he took the trouble to email a personal video to us of the places we would visit on this tour. He was there to pick us up on time with water, coke and chocolate in a cooler bag for our day tour. Simi insisted on shouting us a coffee on our way to Tivoli just to break the ice and get to know each other. We would highly recommend Adrian’s villa. Magnificent place!!! Simi gave us a mobile phone with wifi to keep with us all day so we could always contact him when we were ready to move on to next destination. Brilliant idea!! Cannot say enough good things about Simi. If we had extra days we would have spent another day with him. Very reasonsbly priced too. Ciao Simi
A fun day with a great guide! I highly recommend booking this tour. It was a highlight for sure.

Booking this trip with Simone was one of the best highlights of our trip to Rome. He is highly professional, funny, friendly, and a great driver. He was five minutes early to pick us up, took time to show us where to go at each stop so we weren’t lost, and would walk us around to help us find a place to eat when we stopped for a break in Tivoli. He even had drinks ready for us, he was very prepared. He was willing to explain and answer any questions about anything regarding Italy. Simone also took us to a spot not on our tour to make sure we had an amazing experience. It was a beautiful waterfall. I can’t highly recommend him enough. He does other tours so he has something for everyone. We will book with him when we come back to Rome. As an American in Italy for the first time, he made it a memorable experience. Seriously, you need to book with him, he is the best guide and already feels like a friend. Thank you so much Simone!
Safe efficient and reasonably priced

We cannot praise Simone highly enough. Getting to Hadrian’s Villa and Villa D’Este is not easy. Public transport is far more difficult than some suggest. The buses take time and there is the difficulty of getting from one site to the other. The timetables are not that full. Taxis are also very expensive and again one would be needed to travel from Hadrian’s Villa to the centre of Tivoli and would have to pre-book a taxi for a particular time to do so. We were attracted by this trip because considering it would take a whole day it was reasonably priced and we have noted that more and more tourist bus trips have become absurdly overpriced charging £70 or £90 compared with the £25 per person standard of about 20 years ago. Also our last experience of a bus trip involved the “Hard Sell” when we were taken into a cameo shop and kept there for about 30 minutes for no purpose. We were collected at Cinecitta which is the penultimate stop on line A. There is good reason for that in view of Rome traffic. The Metro journey is easy and at that time of the morning against the main flow of passengers. We found Simone to be a very careful and considerate driver and an easy conversationalist. We were driven 1st to Hadrian’s Villa and given as much time as we wished. We arrived some time after 10 AM and spent 2 ½ hours there. We could have had longer if we had wished. We were then taken to Tivoli where we found our own restaurant for a light lunch. At least we were spared the ordeal of mass produced spaghetti bolognese normally dished out to people on bus trips. We then simply walked into Villa D’Este which is at the end of the main street in Tivoli. We felt that not much time was really needed in Tivoli itself as a town as the amount to see there is somewhat exaggerated. We prearranged a time with Simone to be collected from the main square. We found Villa D’Este to be a magnificent garden as expected and not too overcrowded. We spent about 2 hours there. We were then driven back to Cinecitta via a couple of other interesting sights of which we were unaware. This trip is extremely good value for money, relaxing and an excellent way to see two magnificent places which are not that easy to access. We are an elderly couple both well over 70 and we suffered no stresses and strains whatsoever. Simone is thoughtful, informative and very considerate. He is a remarkably careful driver . We cannot recommend this trip too highly.

Had fantastic day with Simone and Scoot around Rome on Tivoli day tour. From start to finish Simone looked after us with expert service. We could choose our own pace plus Simone kept us informed and entertained. This turned out to be a perfect day which Simone ensured we had. Would highly recommend for a highlight in your holiday.
