Avoid the tedium of an 8-hour return road trip from Rome and instead, join your guide on a 2-hour high-speed train to Salerno together where you'll hop on a boat ride that takes you along the stunning Amalfi Coast. The first stop is Amalfi for a visit to a family-run lemon orchard with stunning views of the sea and a tasting of their homemade limoncello. Then, embark on another ferry ride along the epic coastline to Positano, a small fishing town that has long been the holiday destination of choice for VIPs. After an orientation walk with your guide, you’ll have two hours of free time to browse the boutiques, enjoy lunch at a seaside cafe (costs not included), or go for a dip in the sea. This full-day excursion with an expert guide and roundtrip transportation to and from Rome is the perfect way to explore the beautiful Amalfi Coast.

  • In the case of heavy rain, the limoncello tasting will be in the town of Amalfi instead of the farm.
  • Please note: In the rare event of rough seas where it is impossible to travel by ferry, we will provide a private bus to take you up and down the coast so you won't miss a thing!

The Amalfi Coast is so pretty but also so crowded. Being able to view the Coast from the water ferries was an absolute highlight...
Beautiful place, too little time there

Amalfi coast was beautiful. Our guide Chiara was very friendly and told us as much as she could about all of the areas we passed through as well as other places we might visit. The train ride was fine but I didn’t expect to be on boats that were for public transportation. Most of the time was spent traveling. Not enough time in Amalfi and Positano.

Enjoyed visiting Positano and Amalfi, and have a whole new respect for the people brave enough to drive that coastline - especially the bus drivers. The visit to the lemon farm is just a trek up a bunch of steps to receive a tiny cup containing a tablespoon of limoncello. If I did it again I’d skip the lemons and take the extra half hour in Amalfi as I felt we didn’t get a lot of time there. Our guide, Andy, was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with anecdotes and trivia throughout the trip. Unfortunately the water was a bit rough so we missed out on the spectacular views from the water; but it’s still a nice tour.
No Boat Rides/Bus Instead/Disappointed

We were unable to travel via boats and instead had to take a bus. We were informed of this after we arrived to train station. The bus was late arriving to pick us up from train station so it cut into our time to eat and shop. Very disappointed that we weren’t able to boat hop because the boat hopping was the draw for this particular excursion. We should have been refunded a portion of our monies. However, our tour guide was absolutely phenomenal and made the trip very enjoyable!
