- This Tour operates in all weather conditions. However, it may happen that due to heavy rain or extremely bad weather, local authorities decide to close the underground areas of Colosseum. In this case, you will visit only the arena of Colosseum, one of the restricted areas, and you will have the chance to explore other areas of Roman Forum and Palatine Hill.
- Not allowed: Pets, weapons or sharp objects, oversized luggage, smoking, alcohol or drugs, sprays or aerosols, glassware, unaccompanied minors, electric wheelchairs
- -The entrance fee to the archaeological sites is 17 Euros for adults (23 Euros for the arena option), accompanied by a booking fee of 2 Euros. The additional amount covers services provided by experienced licensed guides, audio devices, booking fees and other tourist services. The aim is to promote transparency and ensure your understanding of the cost breakdown. In July and August, due to the heat, the duration of the tour is 2 hours. Please note that this tour is not wheelchair accessible. -Meeting time is subject to change; if this occurs, you will receive a call or message from the activity provider. please provide your correct phone number and country code. -ID mandatory. Guests who show up without ID cannot be guaranteed entrance. -The full names of all the participants in the booking is needed, incomplete information on the booking cannot be guaranteed entrance.
- In summer time we suggest bringing a bottle of water. In summer time due to the heat the tour might last about 2 hours.
- Please Note: to access the Colosseum you need to add in your reservation the exact name and last name of all participants in your group and children need to be specified. In case of mistake in writing your name and last name in your reservation, if the Colosseum tickets controllers deny the access due to the wrong name and last name we decline any responsibility and NO REFUND will be provided.
- Please note: in case of late arrival we inform you that you will lose your tour and no refund will be given for no show or for late arrival

Scam: City Wonders: Underground - Even the guides know they are in the wrong!

City Wonders SCAM! We showed for our underground tour of the colosseum today to learn AFTER that our guide couldn’t come down with us (like the other guides). He said it was something with the city and he was “so sorry!” We had to do a self-guided tour (not what I paid for) and then meet him at the top for the rest of the tour. The lady that worked at the colosseum was down there and said “I could tell you many things but I can’t since you paid City Wonders.” Go with another company!! There were other guides down there that knew this company was a scam…the exchanges between our guide and the colosseum made us feel dirty.

This was to have been the highpoint for our Rome visit with our granddaughter. We booked well in advance, but three days prior to our visit we were informed that there were not enough tickets available from the Colosseum, and there was no possibility of getting on any other tour, even without the dungeons visit. It is unprofessional to sell tickets if there is any possibility that they will not be available. This was a terrible disappointment.

We received an email from Viator (city wonders) 3 days prior that our tour was cancelled. Come to find out that the tour itself wasn’t canceled but we were canceled out of it. Apparently, they overbook these tours. City Wonders blamed Trip Advisor. We made our reservation months in advance and we were in the middle of a 10 hour flight when the cancellation email was sent so we never saw it. They informed us when we arrived for the tour at 8:50 am that we weren’t on their list. We were able to get on with another company that day but not on an underground tour. Very unlikely that we’ll ever get back to Rome, so we’ll never get to cross the underground of the Colosseum off our bucket list. The lesson learned is never book tours through Trip Advisor.

Super informative tour with Diego! He's very kind and made sure we all had opportunities for photos. He even took photos for us. He played audio sounds of animals and of cheering at the underground and the higher floors to help us visualize what it would have been like at the time. He provided lots of info and made sure we refilled water and had time to use the bathroom too. Bring at least one water bottle! We did the underground and floor access tour with Palatine Hills and the Forum.
