The Colosseum tour was great. Our tour guide did an excellent job of giving us the history and many facts about life in Rome during the early part it time after The death of Jesus and his apostles. The tour started with a self-guided walk about in the Roman Forum and Palestine Hill. This was my second time through the Roman Forum, Palestine Hill and Colosseum and it was, by far, the most informed tour I have taken.

Our experience wasn't great. We booked through TripAdvisor, assuming it was a reputable tour. Initially greeted by one man, we were then handed off to another who led a small group to join a larger one, where we finally met our guide. It felt like a rip-off. Despite booking a 1-hour tour at 8:30 am, we had to wait until 9:50 am to enter the Coliseum. Additionally, the audio was difficult to hear. Overall, not a tour I would recommend.

Amr was such a great guide. He is SO passionate about history and knew so much.
This was my fourth time touring the Colosseum and was the best thus far because of how Amr focused on explaining the historical significance of the Colosseum to people groups throughout the history of the world (Romans, Italians, Jews, Christians, pagans, Europeans, etc.). While he explained a lot of random facts about how it was used during different time periods and how it was built, just like other tours, Ame sets himself apart from others by focusing on the significance and big picture.
Highly recommend touring with Amr.
