Nice narrative about colosseum

I liked our tour guide Silvio. He was a little eccentric, and explained a lot about the socioeconomic reasons why the colosseum was built, and it's purpose in Roman society. And also how the Roman Arch was key to it's enduring construction. I would have liked a little bit more about the events that took place in the colosseum and about it's inner workings.
The tour ended in the colosseum, then we did a self guided tour of Palatine Hill and the Forum.

The guide had great knowledge of the tour and made you feel part of the story. Gave us enough time to take the picture we needed. Very punctual love that. Being able to experience what Roman life was in the 1st century was great way to be welcomed to the city.

This was an amazing tour of the colosseum by someone who was a true expert. He shared a wealth of information about every aspect of the Colosseum. We learned so much! I think that it might have gone on a little too long and many of the tour guests left before we finished with the colosseum and moved to explore the forum.
