Overview
Rome in a Day is a perfect tour if you want to maximize your time visiting Colosseum & the Vatican Museums in a day. You'll meet your guide at our office at the Colosseum & start your journey through ancient Rome. You'll visit in 3 hours the Colosseum, walks into the aristocratic Palatine hill where once emperors built their palaces, you'll reach the Roman Forum, once the center of the religious & political ancient Rome. Your guide will share stories on the roman emperors & gladiators . After a lunch break you will come to our Vatican for the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel tour. Your adventure continue to the 1500s where you will learn about Michelangelo and Raphael who boths works for the Pope Julius II. You will visit the Vatican highlights and see the marble groups of the Laocoon, the Apollo and Neros' bathtub, head to the Sistine Chapel to admire Michelangelo's frescoes of the Last Judgement and the Creation of the World.

- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
- Please Note: to access the Colosseum you need to add in your reservation the exact name and last name of all participants in your group and children need to be specified. In case of mistake in writing your name and last name in your reservation, if the Colosseum tickets controllers deny the access due to the wrong name and last name we decline any responsibility and NO REFUND will be provided.
- Normal sized backpacks are permitted
- Please be aware that to enter the Colosseum it is necessary to pass a metal detector security check;there may be some wait time to pass through security checks
- Please note: if you arrive late you might loose the entrance or a part of the tour
- Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
- The order of the itinerary might change
- Please note that you will be asked a full refundable 10 euros deposit at the meeting point in order to ensure all the radios are given back to the guide or our staff. Once you return the radios you will be refunded your 10 euros. If you don't give back the radios you will be charged 30 euros for each of them.
- Not allowed: Pets, weapons or sharp objects, oversized luggage, smoking, alcohol or drugs, sprays or aerosols, glassware, unaccompanied minors, electric wheelchairs
- -The entrance fee to the archaeological sites is 17 Euros for adults (23 Euros for the arena option), accompanied by a booking fee of 2 Euros. The additional amount covers services provided by experienced licensed guides, audio devices, booking fees and other tourist services. The aim is to promote transparency and ensure your understanding of the cost breakdown. In July and August, due to the heat, the duration of the tour is 2 hours. Please note that this tour is not wheelchair accessible. -Meeting time is subject to change; if this occurs, you will receive a call or message from the activity provider. please provide your correct phone number and country code. -ID mandatory. Guests who show up without ID cannot be guaranteed entrance. -The full names of all the participants in the booking is needed, incomplete information on the booking cannot be guaranteed entrance.
- In summer time we suggest bringing a bottle of water. In summer time due to the heat the tour might last about 2 hours.
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- Please note: in case of late arrival we inform you that you will lose your tour and no refund will be given for no show or for late arrival
- Please note that during Easter and Christmas time the fast access to the Basilica can't be guaranteed because St. Peter's may be closed due to religious functions

The forget portion of the tour seeing the coliseum was amazing and our guide Gina was phenomenal! She was very engaging and friendly and had great information to share when us. Our group has booked the combo tour to see Vatican same day, but I never received a meeting time for the second half. The coliseum tour ended and she didn’t have the meeting time info for i Vatican either and suggested we contact the office. Tried calling and texting the number but nobody would respond. Finally someone responded on WhatsApp but when I asked them for the meeting time they also didn’t know and couldn’t connect with the tour operator for Vatican. We spent the entire break between the two tours trying to get the information, until we finally just went there and waited. We didn’t get to eat lunch because of the runaround thing to figure out where to be and when. We did finally find our group there and went through the tour. Our guide seemed rushed and at the point we went into the Sistine Chapel it was all incredibly rushed and there was no real introduction. I think they were closing St.Peters Basilica so we either had to skip spending time looking at the Sistine Chapel and go with the guide to exit into rhe Basilica, or miss the basilica and take the other generic exit. We opted to do the latter so we could enjoy the chapel, but it was disappointing because our guide just quickly took all of our head sets and left through the basilica without even ending the tour properly. We missed getting to exit into the basilica which was also disappointing. Overall it was fine but we wished we would have had better communication from the company and not been so rushed to not enjoy the ending and properly exiting and enjoying the full experience with our tour.

Voller Erfolg!!! Perfekt!!! Problemlos!!!
Von der Begrüßung in der Argentur bis zum Ende fantastisch. Leider ist ein Teil der Tour durch den Tod des Papstes ausgefallen. Die Summe wurde ohne Aufforderung sofort zurückerstattet. Unser Guide Renata war ein Traum. Diese Frau lebt ihren Beruf!!! Hut ab. 2 Jugendliche im etwas schwierigen Alter und einen tot-müden Vater über 3 Stunden mit ihrem Wissen, ihren Geschichten und ihrer fröhlichen, kompetenten Art gefesselt!!! Städtetrips gehören zu unseren Hobbies aber diese Tour war mit Abstand die Beste die wir bis jetzt erlebt haben. Danke Viator, Danke Renata, mit Sicherheit wieder :-)
