The first floor, with its magnificent ceilings, houses the collection of statues. Ancient masterpieces and the first works of art by Gianlorenzo Bernini, the talented artist discovered by the Cardinal. The first floor, or "piano nobile" is dedicated to the paintings. Like in a book of Art History, you'll admire great works from Renaissance and Baroque. Caravaggio, Raffaello, Tiziano... these are just some of the painters that you'll see represented here.

Sabrina was our expert art historian who guided us through the museum and its grounds. The knowledge of the works, their meanings, and how they told the story of the family and Rome itself as conveyed in a wonderfully understandable way. We could have spent days with Sabrina and the his experience was the highlight of our time in Rome.
