Business of THIEVES

This company CHEATS its customers. We booked tour for five family members ages 26 to 78. Then came the pandemic and all flights were grounded. Trip was off and there was NO WAY to go. Nor will there be any way for 3 of the 5 tickets to EVER BE USED. We were told in April that a refund would be coming. A few months passed and there was no credit applied to the credit card. Followed up and have now been told there will not be a credit issued but we can take the tour within the next few years. (If we live that long). STOP USING THIS BUSINESS since they can't refund unused tour tickets. Its not my job to finance their poor cash flow. I' m realy irritated and will now work with credit card side to see if Visa can assist. If the pandemic did not yet bankrupt this company I can only pray they do this on their own. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. STAY AWAY FROM ALL "WALKS" AFFILIATES!
Unscrupulous refund policy

Well it would seem Walks had no intention of refunding any tours. As others have voiced, we booked our tour in Rome with Walks in 2019, and of course with Covid all plans fell through obviously. We managed to refund from our Air bnb's, Ciaoflorence tours promptly refunded, even our Airline refunded all our Air Miles ( maybe a first!), But Walks...we initially waited for confirmation, because we anticipated the cancellation, due to the tragedy in Italy. And sure enough Walks cancelled all booked tours, with a promise of refunding our package, as stated also in their refund policy. Then started the email back and forth. At first they offered a gift certificate worth about 150% more than initially paid, or a refund. Well we needed our money back, as we had no idea when and if we'd be back to Italy or Europe anytime soon. No response to our initial refund request, but more emails requesting that we take the gift certificate. Email requests were responded with a pre-canned email response. Each time we requested our money back, please. Always politely. This has gone on for 2-3 months. Finally this May after multiple emails, with resultant canned responses, we got a final settlement which would refund our tour package as a gift certificate worth 200% of our original package extended out to 3 years. While I appreciate they're situation financially as a company, it seems they've little regards for the financial situation of those booking these tours. While I'm sure the actual tours are amazing and well done, by wonderful operators, and if we'd been able to enjoy Italy, and the Walks tour, I'm sure our review would be glowing, but their refund policy and frankly misleading statements about refunding cancelled tours changes my opinions about their business practices, unfortunately.
Great guide!

Guido our guide was fantastic. Funny, informative and kept the group organised throughout whilst allowing time to take in the scenery and information. We'd definitely book again.

Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The tour covered even more than it suggested online, and was great value for money.
Wonderful

We had a wonderful tour of Rome in a day. Our guide was absolutely so knowledgeable and answered all our questions and then some. I would have liked to start in the Vatican and end in the Colosseum. Also would have liked some time to shop instead of the gelato break. Fabio was a wonderful guide very entertaining and really enjoyed having him for a tour guide.
