Meet your guide just steps from the Vatican and enjoy priority entrance as we head past the queues and straight inside the Vatican Museums. See the major works of art ranging from ancient Greek and Roman sculptures to Renaissance masterpieces, and learn how the two are closely intertwined. After spending ample time inside the Sistine Chapel you may remain inside the Vatican Museums as long as you like, or enjoy fast track entry to explore St. Peter’s Basilica on your own. After a break for lunch, your guide will assist you in distinguishing between historical fact, imaginative fiction, and the cinematic representations depicted in blockbuster movies. After walking around the perimeter of the Colosseum, gaze down onto the arena floor. With the Colosseum behind you, travel even further back in time as you enter the Roman Forum: the true heart of Ancient Rome with monuments dating as far back as the 7th century BC.

- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
- On days immediately surrounding religious holidays at the Vatican, alterations to tours may become necessary due to partial closings of areas normally included in this tour. In the event that the Papal tombs beneath St. Peter's Basilica are closed, the tour of the Basilica itself will be extended and no refunds made
- Maximum 20 travelers on this tour
- The ground in the Roman Forum is composed of large stone or dirt pathways that can be difficult to navigate with strollers or wheelchairs
- Only small bags or purses are allowed in the Vatican and the Colosseum. No large bags or weapons allowed, and a cloakroom is available at the Vatican only
- Tour departs rain or shine
- Unfortunately, wheelchairs and strollers cannot be accommodated on this tour. Contact us to determine the best way to visit Ancient Rome and the Vatican with small children or guests with reduced mobility
- Wear comfortable shoes for walking
- Wear a hat and sunblock during summer months
- Bring water if you will tour on a hot day
- Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.

Fun, knowledgeable, and high-spirited tour experiences

Fantastic experiences with very knowledgeable guides. I learned everything I expected and a bunch of stuff I didn’t, so I’m very happy that I chose to go on a tour rather than just exploring the sites on my own.
The Colosseum tour with Massimo was so fun despite some heavy rain at times. He clearly knew a lot of backstory and was both able to tell the story and fun facts in a humorous manner, and answer any question from the group about Colosseum and Forum Romanum - and about Rome in general.
The Vatican Tour with Nadja was likewise amazing. She was also fun and energetic, and she pointed out so many beautiful details and facts about the history and making of the artworks in the Vatican museums that you would have never noticed on my own. Great way to experience the museums.

This was the Vatican Museums tour.
Our guide, Quara, is a very intelligent and interesting individual. She made the morning melt away with her humor and ability to quickly make the group of strangers friends.

Everything came out on time. The tickets and vouchers for the different events were always correct. The tour guide for the Vatican was excelent! Massimo Bocacelli . He was nice , and very profesional.
Colosseum and Roman Forum

This was a fantastic adventure. The tour of the colosseum with Luigi was amazing. His knowledge and insight of the history the colosseum and roman forum was so interesting and gave details we would never have known. I highly recommend this tour and can’t thank Luigi enough for his passion in sharing the history of these sights.

We very much enjoyed both our tour guides Georgia and Ariela (??) The only thing is we wish we had more time to see the artifacts in the Colosseum and in the Vatican tour it is just too busy to really enjoy. Nothing the tour guides to do.
