Our tour's centerpiece is the Colosseum, the quintessential symbol of the Roman Empire's power. Still standing after nearly 2,000 years, the Colosseum is a compliment to the genius engineering of the Romans. We then visit the beating heart of ancient Rome: the Roman Forum. Only a guide can make the Forum a worthwhile visit. The ancient complex offers many clues to how Romans lived, worshiped, and entertained. Saving the most spectacular sights until last, we'll climb the Palatine Hill. Romulus founded Rome on the ancient hill. It later became the favoured place for the emperors to build their elaborate palaces.

Well Organized, Professional and Fun!

We did two private tours with Walks Inside Rome - the Colosseum/Forum and the Vatican/Sistine Chapel and both were first rate. The guides - Domenico in the Forum and Sara at the Vatican - were polite, professional and knowledgeable and tailored a multi-lingual/multi-generational tour that satisfied everyone's ability and energy level. Both guides were also recognized by the local security professionals at each site allowing us to expedite our entrances/transit through security. We couldn't have been happier with the way each tour transpired. In addition, there was excellent communication with the WIR staff via WhatsApp - from reservation to tour completion - that walked us through reserving the appropriate tours, touching base several days prior to the tour kickoff, and being available and responsive as we connected with the guides at each site. Hands down the WIR tours were the highlight of our trip.

Me, a friend and our two 10 year old boys had an amazing time recreating the gladiator battles with our tour guide, Vincenzo. He was so knowledgeable and kept the kids excited the entire time. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the underground, but it was still great. We did a more expensive private tour, and didn't have to wait in any lines.

This was my wife’s and I’s first time in Rome and our first time experiencing a private personal tour with priority entrance. Our tour was on June 8, 2023. This is the way to see the Colosseum and Forum otherwise you really missing out walking around yourself. Our guide was Suzanna Mariani for this fabulous tour of the historic Colosseum and Roman Forum. She is an expert guide with a degree in ancient history. She was absolutely passionate about what she shared and pointed out along the way, in particular she had charts that illustrated what the ruins looked like when they were truly standing which brought the ruins to life. We had a fantastic tour of the Colosseum and the Forum by Maximus! He provided an entertaining visit to both locations using pictures and stories. We had a small group of two families - with kids ranging from 14 to 9 years old. He was able to connect with all of the members of our group.
