The Colonna family is among the oldest families in Rome, and still resides in the wonderful Roman Baroque palace, one of the oldest and most majestic private palaces in the capital. The rooms of the Galleria Colonna house the works of art of the great masters of late Renaissance and Baroque painting: from Tintoretto, Pinturicchio, Guido Reni, Bronzino and Guercino to the trompe l'oeil style of painting. The great Italian cinema also came to these rooms, with the famous film 'Roman Holiday', which contains many scenes filmed inside the Galleria Colonna. Let yourself be enveloped by the palace's many architectural styles that have overlapped over more than five centuries of history, and treat your eyes to this incredible journey through 18th century Italy.

Our party of 3 had the pleasure of doing a private tour with Rebecca H. on Saturday, April 14, 2024. Rebecca has an extensive knowledge of the Palace and it’s amazing artworks. What a wonderful experience! We even had the unique pleasure of meeting the Prince himself, who happened to be walking the grounds. This tour is a remarkable opportunity, available only on Saturdays. We look forward to meeting Rebecca again someday.
