Reviews for 2-day Rome: Colosseum & Vatican Tour
Informative

We loved both our tours and our guides. Namely Roberta and Maria. Our tours were informative and, thanks to the system with ear phones, easily heard. As our package also included a round trip on the Hop on Hop off bus some guidance with this would have been appreciated. As it was we missed that part of the package as we had no idea where the stops were.

We had Paola as our tour guide . She was absolutely amazing. She answered all of our questions, and she kept my attention the entire time. I felt like I went back into the time of ancient Rome. I could imagine everything in my head based on her descriptions and stories! This tour was worth every single penny! This was definitely the best tour I had in Italy so far!!! Thank you!!! Vatican city and colosseum 2 in 1 trip

Our guide, Rita, was fantastic this morning. She was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed going to the Vatican city with her. We booked a lunch which was ok and included in the trip, but you had to pay for your drink, whatever it was. They had some musicians who came in and played and they then collect a donation if you want to. It gave us time to chill a little before the colosseum and then taxi picked us up for colosseum visit. The lady who took us around was friendly and knowledgea. We would say, if you have mobility issues you might want to think if this is really for you. There is a steep incline to start then it does smooth out but the Roman roads can be tricky to navigate for the more able too. There is a lift inside the colosseum to get to the top areas as the steps are steep. All in all though, we had a great day visiting two major sites in one day.we would recommend it but be prepared for walking! You also need to sort your own way back to your hotel but you can get picked up to start with.

Gray Line tours was recommended by our hotel concierge. We did both the Vatican/Sistine and the next day the Colesseum. Tour guide for the Vatican was Tahini and incredibly informative and personable. Tour guide for the Colosseum was Mun and she was also incredibly informative and personable. Both guides' English was spot on. I highly recommend the tours as there is no possible way to learn all there is by walking it yourself. Definitely worth skip the line. Also, customer service is top notch! I highly recommend Gray Line Tours!!
