The hotel is located only 20 metres from Lepanto Metro stop and is close to main shopping areas and tourist attractions. Set in a completely renovated building of the early 19th century, the Farnese boasts elegant furnishings that include many artistic objects from the 17th century. Relax in the graceful hotel entrance and lobby where you can admire antique furniture, and an historic portrait of Pope Paul III Farnese. Beautiful classic old world furnishings. Gorgeous wood work, marble reception desk and bar counter. Lovely refinished bathroom. Loved the room darkening/sound reducing window shutters! We slept SO well! Quiet residential street with easy subway access, away from the heavily trafficked touristy hubbub. Very clean, well maintained. Thank you for the help carrying our suitcases up and down the front steps. We are in our 60’s and felt as though we were entering an Ivory Merchant movie.
