The room was clean and tidy and the interior decor had a cool, modern vibe. The staff communicated well and organised a taxi for us last minute from the airport to the accommodation. The location is perfect in that it is close to the hustle and bustle but situated in a side street with minimal noise.

Room only accommodation at Domus Avi . Messaged the host via the booking.com app prior to arrival and she kindly arranged a taxi driver to collect us from the airport , he messaged via WhatsApp & was waiting in arrivals hall with a sign - great transfer - we booked him for return journey which was also efficient and effortless for us . Apartment on bottom floor of an old building - there were 5 or 6 rooms on the corridor behind a private entrance . We stayed in a room which was spotlessly clean on arrival and was cleaned each morning after we had gone out . We had fresh towels and a bottled water replaced daily . The room was of a good size and the bed comfortable with adequate storage for our 4 night trip . Wifi was good . We didn’t use the tv but there was one .had patio windows which opened out into a little enclosed courtyard . We didn’t use it during our stay so can’t comment . Also there was an aircon unit but we didn’t need to use that . only negatives I can think of are that the shower temperature was extremely variable and ran hot and cold but was manageable . Also there is no extractor in the bathroom so it became steamy . The monti district where we were located was ideal for us . It was walkable to all the main locations . We did 20000 steps a day - we had gorgeous tshirt weather in March - would not want to visit in the Roman summer it would be unbearably hot I would think ? There is a street a 5 min walk away where there are a variety of lovely little bars and restaurants along with vintage shops and boutiques . Also several convenience shops and classy type take aways . There were lots more shops and restaurants we didn’t have time to visit and only saw on our return taxi journey ! It was relatively quiet but still buzzy -had no noise at night sleeping which was great . At the bottom of the same road was Cavour metro station we used to get to Vatican City and back , easy & cheap . Would stay here again - awesome city !

Large comfortable room on the ground floor with a large window for lots of natural light. Comfortable beds. Lots of open shelving to unload luggage and organize. We always enjoy staying in the Monti Rione - we've stayed in this neighborhood for 4 of the 5 multi-night visits we've made to Rome.
