While everything worked out ok and tour guide was sweet I would not recommend this experience. The pizza experience we expected was cancelled so the tour guide was able to locate a replacement tour at a restaurant on a commercial street. It did not feel very authentic, though the staff was pleasant. The timing was changed so that we had pizza mid way through the tour which was not optimal because there was an hour of walking in the heat after the pizza. Our guide was very sweet but kids couldn’t understand her so did not absorb any of the history. She had printed some facts about each site but it we probably would have learned just as much if not more if we googled them ourselves. The tour guide was not a historian but rather an outdoor adventure guide so was placed in the wrong role by the company. This tour is not worth the money.
Incredible experience with Luigi, great tour!

What a great tour with our tour guide Luigi. My wife and I booked a small group tour that turned into a private tour with Luigi. He was an absolutely fantastic tour guide - extremely knowledgable about Rome and happy to answer any questions we had. He showed us all the highlights of Rome - the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, and a number of churches - and gave us some great stories and historical facts about the landmarks. We ended with a pizza making, which was a lot of fun and a great way to end the tour.
We recommend 1CityTours and Luigi 100%. If we return to Italy, we'd absolutely choose 1Citytours and Luigi again. He was fantastic and his tour was one of the highlights of our trip.
