Reviews for Private Tour Of Vatican With Scavi Necropolis & St. Peter’s Tomb
Very interesting.

We started with a semi exclusive tour of the Vatican Necropolis; which allows access to archeological ruins, graves and the final resting places of past Popes - all that lie underneath what is now St Peter’s Basillica. The highlight was seeing the actual burial site of Saint Peter, the disciple. Very interesting.
[The tour is very limited; we had to arrange ~6 mths ago].
It’s a must !!!

Very intense experience
Fantastic
A trip to the pass
Incredible
The Swiss guard are very nice and respectful
Unfortunately I can’t say the same about the Sistine chapel security, rude and disrespectful
Great Value, once in a lifetime opportunity

We really enjoyed this tour. We got to see areas in the Vatican that most people don’t get to experience. Also, our tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and shared so much information for us at each location. It was also really nice that you could skip the line at the Basilica and the Museum!
Amazing

Incredible Vatican Tour with Giovanni D'Anna

Incredible! We began the day visiting the Scavi Necropolis, an amazing visit under the Basilica and to St. Peter's tomb. After the Scavi tour, we met our wonderful private guide, Giovanni D'Anna. Giovanni knows the Vatican Museums and Basilica so very well. Although our visit was on a crowded day, Giovanni seamlessly wove us through the Vatican halls with ease stopping at the best vantage points to marvel at the masterful portrayals of biblical stories through sculpture and paiting. Giovanni shares his vast knowledge and experiences making the tour most interesting and enjoyable. Definitely a must-do tour.
