un petit effort pour rendre le lieu plus vivant, mieux entretenu

le site est immense mais tellement peu entretenu. jardins pas du tout entretenus, signalétique invisible car vieillotte sur des panneaux en bois vieillis. aucune vue ou panneau d'information pour expliquer, montrer le site avant. à vous de l'imaginer ou d'aller sur Youtube pour voir une reconstitution en images 3D. C'est pourtant un site exceptionnel classé au patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco. bref, comme souvent, on sent l'état peu impliqué pour garder leur magnificence à ces lieux. je pensais le lieu incontournable et en fait vous avez un sentiment de tristesse en sortant. mieux vaut visiter Rome et son forum et les thermes de Caracalla. Dommage.

Nous avions hésité entre cette visite et celle de la Villa d'Este. Comme l'endroit était plus vaste et la visite semblait plus longue, nous avons opté pour la Villa d'Hadrien.
Comme souligné plus bas, les espaces verts ne sont guères entretenus et rendent l'endroit moins joli.
De plus même si les ruines ont une valeur archéologique inestimable, il est difficile de se rendre compte de ce qu'était l'endroit durant sa grandeur. Peut être que d'ici quelques années, un casque en réalité virtuelle ferait sensation. En attendant, cette visite nous a laissé sur notre faim. En terme de voyage dans le temps, la visite du forum romain nous a laissé un bien meilleur souvenir.
