What To Expect
Your tour will start with the visit of the Vatican Museums. Here you will admire many marvelous rooms and galleries, such as the Upper Galleries and the Raphael Rooms, which were the apartment of Julius II, you will see Raphael's famous School of Athens.
After having visited the Vatican Museums' galleries and rooms, you will enter the amazing Sistine Chapel. Here you will have the opportunity to admire the marvelous frescoes that Michelangelo painted in the 1500s for Pope Julius II and Paul III: the Creation of the World on the chapel's ceiling and the Last Judgement depicted on the wall behind the altar.
A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
St Peter's Basilica is a Church and as such the Vatican can decide to close it for religious functions without any notice. We are not responsible for unexpected closure of the Basilica. When the Basilica of St. Peter is closed for religious functions, you will spend longer time in the Vatican galleries with your guide.
