Meeting with our guide in front of the church of Santa Maria del Popolo, in Piazza del Popolo. Valadier, who added the elegant central fountain incorporating the original Egyptian obelisk, redesigned the Square. Ideally departing from the obelisk are the three major streets leading to downtown.

Museo dell'Ara Pacis
We will continue walking along one of the three streets (called the Trident), Via di Ripetta, flanking the ancient port. Walking along the river Tiber, we will pass by an amazing work of art of 2.000 years, the Ara Pacis. Despite its name, “altar of peace”, it was built for sacrifices.

Piazza Navona
Experience the elegance of Piazza Navona, one of the biggest squares in Rome, a great example of Baroque architecture and sculpture. You will admire at its center the famous “Fountain of the Four Rivers”.
