What To Expect
Your private-access tour begins with hotel pickup within Rome's historical center. With your private guide, enter the Vatican Museums for a journey through some of the most valuable art in the world.
As you walk through the various rooms and galleries, marvel at the enormous collection of paintings, sculptures, carvings, and frescoes. See art by Perugino, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Botticelli, and check out the ancient Laocoön and His Sons statue. As you wander through the Octagonal Courtyard, the Gallery of the Candelabra, the Gallery of Tapestries, the Gallery of Maps, and the Raphael Rooms, feel free to ask your guide any questions you have.
Finally, enter the Sistine Chapel, and hear about the symbolism of Michelangelo's famous frescoes. As you stand in the chapel, you may take time to meditate, think, pray, or do what feels right in this holy room—an activity originally reserved for Renaissance masters and clergy. Exit the museums by walking through the Vatican Library and down the double spiral staircase. Your tour then ends with drop-off at your hotel or preferred location in the city center.

With our Prime Tour, we get you inside the Museums before the regular Early Morning crowds, bypassing those already waiting in line for the Vatican doors to open - You'll really feel like the Popes Special Guest as you stroll right past everyone who has a Standard Early Morning Vatican Tour.
Watch the Vatican Museum Galleries slowly come to life before their day starts.
The Sistine Chapel takes its name from Pope Sixtus IV della Rovere (pontiff from 1471 to 1484) who had the old Cappella Magna restored between 1477 and 1480. It is known throughout the world both for being the place where the conclave and other official ceremonies of the Pope are held (in the past also some papal coronations), and for being decorated with one of the most famous and celebrated works of art of artistic civilization the frescoes by Michelangelo.
