What To Expect
Make your way to the designated meeting point in Rome for your tour, and then follow your guide into a limited-access area below the Colosseum. Retrace the footsteps of Roman gladiators as your guide shares stories and facts from the city’s history; from the Colosseum underground, continue to the arena and the third level, perfect for snapping interior photos of the Colosseum.
After time at Colosseum, continue to the adjacent Roman Forum, following the Via Sacra that was ancient Rome’s main street. This was the city’s main religious and political center, and see the Temple of the Vestal Virgins, the Arch of Septimius Severus, and the Arch of Constantine.
Walk as far as Palatine Hill, the most ancient part of Rome, where the guide shares the story of the city’s mythical founders, Romulus and Remus.
This half-day ancient Rome tour concludes back at the original starting location.
