Reviews for Urban Rafting On Rome’s Tiber River
Go play on the Tiber! Laid back fun

Really memorable experience, can't recommend enough. Our guide was so friendly and funny. very relaxing, similar to tubing. You will get wet, but not soaked (unless you jump in to cool off like we did!) but they will hold onto dry clothes and anything else and bring them to you at the end of the trip. The drop off is different than the pick up, so plan accordingly, and the pizza at the end of the trip isn't great, but you're not doing this for the pizza!
A nice way to spend a couple of hours.

Nice experience, but the river wasn't particularly exciting. Rather slow. But it was enjoyable and a nice way to see some sights.
A nice activity for a hot day in Rome

Facundo was very kind and made our rafting experience enjoyable. He explained the process very thoroughly of how to canoe. He also provided us with pizza afterwards. I would recommend this for an activity!
Perfect fun activity to cool off!

Great activity to cool off in the summer heat! Lots of fun. Teenage kids loved it! Very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Bonding with other tourists. A slice of pizza on the water. We had a great time!

We've been to Rome multiple times. This was the first with our teenage boys so rafting was change of pace from walking the streets of Rome during the heat of July.
We did the morning tour (10:30A) which was the only true way to beat the heat. The afternoon time (3:30P) would have been just the opposite and the guide confirmed that! The tour required a decent amount of rowing and you had to stay seated on the side of the raft the entire trip. Everyone had a paddle and was expected to use it after a short training session!
The rapids (level 1+) were at the end. Great for beginners but won't satisfy the die-hard. It was the first rafting adventure for our teenage boys that know how to swim so it was decent.
At the end, a few of us helped pull the raft to the street for loading. In hindsight, they could have had help there so we weren't needed. The guide was very nice and everyone seemed to have a good time.
Other posts have mentioned that transportation from the drop-off point is not provided. That's true and it could definitely have added stress if we weren't aware of it. Instead, we were prepared and had already purchased 1-day subway passes. Once on land, we pulled up Google Maps, walked ~15 mins to the nearest station (in our case, Piramide), and as a bonus saw the Pyramid of Cestius on the way.
If you haven't done a tour like this before, enjoyment will be based on your expectations of the rapids and how much you're willing to exercise. You don't get in the water (at least, not on purpose) and you can get a little wet from the rapids but it's not much - mostly the shoes from the water in the raft.
