In this intimate, small-group cooking workshop in Rome, you’ll get hands-on instruction in making two types of time-tested pasta dishes from scratch. Along with the main dishes, you’ll also learn how to replicate your favorite sauces. My wife and I took this cooking class as a way to experience delicious, local Italian cooking and we were not disappointed. We ended up making a 4 course meal (1 starter, 2 pastas, 1 dessert) in the back of a working restaurant. We made our own pasta and were instructed along the way by a very knowledgeable guide and wait staff. While we didn’t actually cook the food ourselves in the kitchen, we learned a ton and had a great time doing it.

This was a fun class. The instructor was informative and friendly. The chef might have been a little too helpful, sometimes doing more us instead of letting us work it out. Overall, it was a great time. It is a nice family restaurant where the class takes place. The cooking area outside the kitchen worked well for our group of 4, but would have been too small for more. We made gnocchi, fettuccine, bruschetta, and tiramisu (although we really just combined the finished ingredients for the tiramisu). We had a good time and the food was very good.
