Colle del Gianicolo
Although not part of the Seven Hills of ancient Rome, with its height of about 88 meters located on the bank of the Tiber River opposite the ancient city, it offers a breathtaking view of the Ancient City. At the top of this hill there is also the Garibaldi Monument, a statue inaugurated on September 20, 1895 for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the capture of Rome. Every day at midday, a cannon firing blanks indicates with a shot the exact time for all the churches in the surroundings so they can ring from the bell tower at the same time and not as the clock of each church indicated, creating only chaos. To visit this hill preferably at midday on the dot.
