We had a great time with Fat Tire Tours in Rome on the Segway tour! What a fun way to see the sights of Rome! Plus you get to ride a Segway which are so much fun! They were very knowledgeable and made sure we were safe! Would definitely recommend them!

Excellent Segway tour of Rome

We had a 9:30 am Segway tour with Marica and were overjoyed to find only two of us on the tour. The weather was perfect and while Rome is getting quite busy this second week in May, Marica confidently guided us thru crowded piazzas and across busy roads with no issues. We also traversed quiet laneways past beautiful rose gardens and a sojourn in an orange grove overlooking Rome.
We started the tour with a little practice to ensure we were comfortable and competent. The route took in the Coliseum, Circus Maximus, Roman Forum, Capitoline, Palatine & Aventine hills, with stops for taking photos and seeing sites along the way. We wore an earphone so we could hear Marica telling us about the history of Rome and details of sites along the way. An unexpected bonus was virtual reality views of some of the sites - Coloseum, Circus Maximus and Roman Forum through a viewer. This enabled us to see in 3D recreated vision of what the sites would have looked like in ancient times. It was very enlightening. Marica was an excellent guide. We recommend the company Fat Tire Tours, the Segway tour content and Marica herself for an exceptional experience in Rome. It was fantastic.
