Description
On this excursion you head out of Rome with your private driver to the wooded hills of Castelli Romani. Roman castles, but in reality it simply refers to a collection of wine-producing hills just southeast of Rome.
The tour, stops at Antico Casale, where you meet the winemaker and then tour the vineyard and cellars. Learn how the wine is produced and maybe even a sample fresh grape off the vine.
After the winery tour, you sit down for a tasting session and sample 3 varieties of wine that are produced here.
Each wine is paired with a delicious Italian specialty, such as Roman pizza or olive oil.

Not worth the money

We started off well with our driver picking up our party of 4 on time. Then our private tour became not so private as we spent about a half hour picking up another couple. The winery we were brought to was lovely and as stated we were able to sample grapes on the vine but it was just a short walk from the car to the vines we really did not "tour" the vineyard. We had a tasting with bread and a chance to purchase wine and olive oil. Then we were back into the car for the drive back. We spent twice as long in the car than we spent at the winery. Definitely overcharged for this "tour"
