Overview

You will b welcomed by your professional guide outside the coffee shop of the Hotel Vittoria, next to the Porta Marina Inferiore entrance to the site. Enjoy this pleasant walk through the centuries. You will visit the gymnasium, enter the theatres, pass in via dell'Abbondanza to then enter the House of Menander, the Baths, small bakeries and more. Listen to the story of the last three days of Pompeii, while walking towards the Forum, but first pass through the Lupanariae - the red-light district - to get a sample of the life of the mores of the ancient time. You will then move to Oplontis, a very small town close to Pompeii, where you will have the chance to admire the ruins of the majestic Villa di Poppea. Luckily, at the time of the eruption the Villa wasn't inhabitated due to maintainance works. Be enchanted by the splendid frescoes and decorations, and do not miss the chance to walk into the gardens that surround the Villa.
