Meet your guide near the Spanish Steps and be ready for a fun and delicious stroll through the Eternal City's historic center.

Walk from the Spanish Steps past Bernini's Barcaccia Fountain along Via Condotti. Peek at the gorgeous window displays of the fancy boutiques. Check out the historic Antico Caffe Greco, a cafe that was once a favorite haunt of artists and philosophers.

Continue on to the Trevi Fountain, made famous by Fellini's movie 'La Dolce Vita.' Throw a coin in the fountain to ensure your return to Rome. Walk to Piazza Colonna, overlooked by the Palazzo Chigi and the nearby Montecitorio – both of these are houses of the Italian government.

Take a break to sample some of Rome's best gelato before continuing to the Church of Sant'Ignazio. Admire the trompe l'oeil of the false dome in the church. Wind your way through the streets to arrive at the Pantheon, the incredibly well-preserved Roman temple. The fountain in the square outside the Pantheon was designed by Giacomo della Porta.

Stop for an espresso in a nearby cafe, one of the best in Rome (own expense). Next, walk to the Palazzo Madama, another Italian government building that was once a private home. Continue to the Piazza Navona with its beautiful 'Four Rivers Fountain' by Bernini.

The last stop on your tour is a visit to the so-called talking statue, Pasquino, before tasting some fantastic wine at a wine bar (own expense). Choose from a list of more than 3,000 wines. Pair that with some cheese and cured meats (own expense) for a lovely end to the tour.
